Picturepark Welcomes New Partner Amides
Aarau, Switzerland – 30 May 2012 – Digital asset management (DAM) software maker Picturepark® announced today that Amides, Digital Asset Management experts in the Benelux, have become the Swiss DAM vendor’s newest Certified Partner in Europe.
Amides has provided digital asset management solutions and services throughout Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg since 2009. The company’s focus on customer service, combined with the collective expertise of Amides employees, has resulted in a notable customer list that includes regional heavyweights in Entertainment, Publishing, creative disciplines and more.
“Amides and Picturepark offer one another important strategic advantages,” explained Picturepark CEO Ramon Forster. “Picturepark enables Amides to offer a modern digital asset management solution that will appeal to its customers and prospects, and Amides offers Picturepark first-class local representation throughout the Benelux region.”
Amides president, Bruno Van Hecke, cites the flexibility of Picturepark DAM and the openness of the Picturepark organization as reasons for his decision to represent Picturepark throughout his region.
“The type of DAM people ask for most is exactly what Picturepark is,” he said, referring to the fact that Picturepark runs in the Cloud or installed on-premise. “And because the company is so open and transparent about its product road map and future plans, Amides will be able to advise our customers about what’s coming next, so they can better plan.”
Van Hecke additionally cited Picturepark’s recent announcements of Dropbox file syndication and a SharePoint digital asset management layer as examples of “DAM done right.”

About Picturepark
Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
