Aarau, Switzerland – 23 May 2016 – Digital asset management (DAM) software maker Picturepark® today announced that Lobster, maker of the _PIM product information management system, has released an integration that connects their system with Picturepark.
Lobster’s DAM Connector for Picturepark offers Lobster _PIM users direct access to digital assets and metadata managed by Picturepark.
“The Lobster integration with Picturepark now enables _PIM users to make use of content and metadata that is shared across the organization,” said Picturepark director of global business development, Philip Axmann. “No longer will customers need to manage content in two systems.”
The connector offers bidirectional data exchange, so both systems can be automatically or manually synchronized. Picturepark Adaptive Metadata is supported, so Picturepark users can add a custom layer of metadata that’s specific to the needs of _PIM users, without that metadata complicating the user experiences of other Picturepark users.
“Product information management is one area where DAM provides a great service,” explained Stefan Seidl, who manages the Picturepark Partner Technology Program. “By using Picturepark as a central content routing hub, content becomes directly accessible from multiple locations, such as CMS, CRM or PIM, without customers having to manually copy and update it.”
Lobster’s DAM Connector for Picturepark is available now direct from Lobster.

About Picturepark
Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
