Gasser Media Joins Picturepark Partner Network

Aarau, Switzerland – 05 Sep 2012Digital asset management (DAM) software maker Picturepark® announced today that Gasser Media of Switzerland has joined the Picturepark partner network. A recognized Swiss publisher for more than 70 years, Gasser Media serves the publishing needs of major brands in Luxury Goods, Pharmaceuticals, Construction and other sectors.

Leveraging the Picturepark DAM API, Gasser Media has integrated Picturepark into its own digital publish system, which enables customers to more easily produce print and online catalogs in more than 20 languages. Thanks to the integration, professional metadata and digital asset management services are now available to all Gasser Media customers.

“We tested many DAM systems before choosing Picturepark,” explained Sebastien Pahud, Director of Technology for Gasser Media. “Picturepark is built on a modern architecture, it is fast, and we found it easy to configure. It also helped that a number of our clients already used Picturepark, and liked it.”

Picturepark Director of Technology, Thomas Wackersreuther, explains why Picturepark is particularly well suited to a demanding environment like Publishing.

“Picturepark is built on enterprise-class technologies that fully support clustering, fail-over, load-balancing and other such requirements for high-stress deployments. Plus, our multi-tenant architecture makes it easy to manage the digital assets of multiple companies. In fact, Picturepark is a perfect match for high-volume publishing companies like Gasser Media.”

Pahud agrees: “I even tried to make it crash, but I couldn’t. Picturepark was the best, so we chose it.”

About Picturepark

Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
