Aarau, Switzerland – 14 October 2015 – Digital asset management (DAM) software maker Picturepark® announced today DAM Connector for Kentico, an integration that provides Kentico users with on-demand access to digital assets and metadata managed in Picturepark.
“The capabilities of Picturepark and Kentico complement one another well,” said Picturepark CEO, Ramon Forster. “Kentico makes the development of websites easy, while Picturepark can feed those websites with approved assets referenced from a single, organization-wide repository.”
From within the Kentico environment, website editors can find approved assets and create Kentico asset collections that contain or reference assets from Picturepark. Images, video, PDFs and more can be placed right onto Kentico website pages. Placed videos can be streamed directly from the Picturepark Cloud, even from on-premise Kentico installations. Content and metadata edits performed in Picturepark can be updated automatically in Kentico within minutes.
Picturepark Adaptive Metadata schemas are fully supported, making it possible for Kentico websites to include metadata value structures that are specific to products, events, news, personnel or any other content class that’s required.
Picturepark assets can also be used as link targets for downloads that always reference the latest version of a file. Kentico website editors can focus on website structure and content, while content editors can update digital assets in Picturepark, without having to also update the website.
“By working closely with technology partners such as Picturepark, we are giving Kentico users even greater capabilities,” said Petr Palas, Kentico Founder and CEO. “Kentico customers can now leverage digital asset libraries that are used company wide, while Picturepark customers have direct access to the Kentico content management system.”
DAM Connector for Kentico joins Picturepark DAM Connectors for
SharePoint and Sitecore in a new line of integrations available from the
Swiss DAM software maker that aim to offer feature and UX parity across
diverse systems.

About Picturepark
Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
