San Francisco, California – 19 September 2013 – DAM Guru Program, a free service that links Digital Asset Management (DAM) professionals with others who need their help, will host a month-long job fair to connect participating members with employers seeking to fill DAM-related positions. Sponsored by DAM Guru Program creator and digital asset management (DAM) software maker, Picturepark, the “DAM Pro Job Mashup” will make it easy for prospective employers to browse profiles for qualified applicants.
“As more employers seek to fill DAM-related positions, HR managers and recruiters realize they don’t know where to go to find qualified Digital Asset Management professionals,” explained DAM Guru Program manager, Ben Smidt. “DAM Guru Program offers one-stop shopping for hundreds of active DAM professionals from all over the world, so providing a job fair like this makes sense for everyone.”
In addition to posting profiles for its experienced DAM professional “Gurus,” DAM Guru Program has invited its “Newbie” members to participate too. Many of these members are looking for DAM internships or other entry-level positions that are not typically advertised on employer websites.
DAM Guru Program was launched in February of 2013. It has attracted professionals with varied backgrounds, including taxonomists, metadata designers, librarians and information professionals (MLIS) and, of course, Digital Asset Management system designers, users, administrators and generalists. DAM Guru Program memberships are free. All program expenses are sponsored by Picturepark.
The “DAM Pro Job Mashup” starts October 1, 2013 and continues throughout the month. There is no charge to participate, for members or prospective employers. DAM professionals who wish to participate but are not yet members of DAM Guru Program can sign up at http://DAMGuru.com/signup

About Picturepark
Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
