Aarau, Switzerland – 10 June 2014 – Digital asset management (DAM) software maker Picturepark is offering free 6-month Cloud DAM subscriptions to organizations actively seeking DAM solutions. Up to 10 users can participate in the evaluation. The move is intended to offer a more relaxed and realistic software evaluation experience.
“People who sign up for Picturepark for demos are often learning DAM at the same time they’re trying DAM,” said Picturepark sales director, Philip Axmann. “But two- or four-week trial periods don’t offer enough time to really do both. After using Picturepark for half a year, organizations will become comfortable with Picturepark—the company and the product—just like one of our long-term customers.”
The accounts offered are full Picturepark Cloud subscriptions that enable users to upload and download files, edit metadata, share and publish files with anyone and more. Start-up training and technical support are also offered free of charge. To simplify the experience for users, a single Picturepark “coach” will be assigned to handle all questions and requests.
Picturepark marketing director David Diamond links the move with the company’s #LearnDAM initiative, announced earlier this year to provide free educational materials for those pursuing digital asset management systems or careers.
“We already offer the educational materials organizations need to learn DAM,” he said. “Now we’re affording them the time required to not just tryout DAM software, but actually use DAM software in real workflows. Of course, we’re confident that after six months, these organizations will want to become Picturepark customers.”
The free accounts are standard Picturepark Cloud accounts,
so there will be no change in functionality for organizations who
choose to work with Picturepark indefinitely. Organizations that
purchase Picturepark on-premise licenses can have their Cloud instances
migrated.
About Picturepark
Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
