Aarau, Switzerland and Düsseldorf, Germany – September 27, 2018 – Content management provider Picturepark® and its premier partner DAM United have announced that their “Upload Portal” is now generally available. The responsive web-based Upload Portal gives Picturepark customers the ability to directly upload content to their own instance. The tool features “Drop and Go” direct file-to-location functionality, along with an option for individual branding configuration and a variety of security features.

Speaking on the subject, Picturepark Product Manager Stefan Seidl said the following: “Customers can use the Upload Portal to easily send files to a specific area within their own Picturepark instance in just seconds. The whole portal has been designed to be responsive from the ground-up, so uploading from mobile devices is always a slick and straightforward process.”
Administrators have full control over which users are allowed access to their own Upload Portal. They have the option to choose from a variety of different security settings, such as the possibility to grant access to all email address belonging to a specific domain, to granular level rights whereby specific email addresses must be individually approved prior to being granted access.
The ‘Drop and Go’ functionality allows users the option to send content directly to a pre-configured destination. The concept of the functionality comes from a drive to reduce the requirement for additional clean-up, post-upload.
Oliver Häuser, a board member at DAM United, stated that: “We have been experiencing high levels of demand in relation to the new Picturepark Upload Portal. This correlates with our findings, as we know that mobile usage of content management systems continues to grow and this is a key focus in the design of the portal. We are pleased to be able to offer a solution for Picturepark users, enabling them to upload in a speedy and secure way which is especially convenient during travelling.”
The Upload Portal features the option of visual configurability of multiple aspects of its design. These include the option to change the portal’s display background and the ability to include one’s own brand logo. This configurability enables customers to seamlessly blend-in the Upload Portal with their own branding.
Available on request, the Upload Portal can be set-up by getting in contact with DAM United, who also provide all configuration and support. For more information on the features and to see the tool in use, visit the dedicated Upload Portal page.
