New Director of Sales to the Americas
Aarau, Switzerland – 05 October 2011 – Two weeks after announcing their first office in the United States, Swiss DAM software vendor VIT appoints Hector H. Medina as the new Director of Sales for North and South America.
With more than 15 years of experience in the DAM industry, 40 years old Hector H. Medina has a broad and in-depth understanding of Digital Asset Management and witnessed all the industry trends virtually since DAM has been in existence. He has successfully helped companies of all sizes to find adequate solutions for managing their growing wave of digital assets and recently worked for Canto and Celum.
“We’re excited to see Hector join our sales force helping us to explore the American market and to better support local partners as well as key accounts, “ states Ramon Forster, CEO of VIT. “Hector is a highly experienced expert in DAM and shares our strong customer focus and overall passion to deliver real solutions.”
During the last few years, the Swiss leading DAM system Picturepark® has faced a sharp increase in queries for permanent representation in The United States. “Despite of some economic tension DAM is still in very popular demand because companies of all sizes have to address DAM today rather than tomorrow,” says Hector. “Picturepark® is an excellent tool for delivering a broad variety of standard or individual solutions, matching any scale.”
About Picturepark
Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
