New Digital Asset Management Events Calendar from DAM Guru Program

Single portal for global events aimed at strengthening connections between DAM, Content Management and Library Science communities

Aarau, Switzerland – 26 July 2016 – DAM Guru Program has launched a digital asset management (DAM) events calendar that offers free listings of global events related to DAM, content management, library science and related fields. The calendar is available at http://DAMGuru.com/events

Visitors can find and view events based on event date and geographic location. Event listings include description, dates and cost. Links to organizer websites and venue maps are included.

Among the events to be included are:

  • Meetups
  • Conferences and expos
  • Webinars and other virtual events

“It’s tough for local Meetups and other smaller events to get themselves promoted,” said DAM Guru Program creator, David Diamond. “This calendar will help those organizations get the exposure they need to grow, and we hope it will help connect people from the various content communities.”

Anyone can post a new event. Events are approved by DGP managers to ensure suitability and accuracy.

Events posted by DAM Guru Program members will be promoted at no charge via the program’s communications channels. Members can optionally have their presentation or panel participation featured in the promotions.

DAM Guru Program was developed by Picturepark. The program has received nearly 1,000 member signups since it was launched in 2013. Memberships and member services are free to members through subsidization by Picturepark.

About Picturepark

Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
