Malaysian Firm to Represent Picturepark DAM Throughout Asia

Aarau, Switzerland – 19 September 2012 Digital asset management (DAM) software maker Picturepark® announced today that Picturepark Solution Sdn. Bhd. of Malaysia will represent the Picturepark DAM brand throughout Asia.

Referred to simply as “Picturepark Asia”, Picturepark Solution Sdn. Bhd. staff offers more than 10 years’ combined experience selling digital asset management solutions throughout Asia.

“Having an experienced partner in Asia will ensure that Picturepark customers in the region have the local support they need,” explained Picturepark Director of Sales for EMEA/APAC, Philip Axmann. “Picturepark Asia will also better enable us to specifically address the unique needs of Asian markets.”

Wilson Leong, president of Picturepark Solution Sdn. Bhd., saw the partnership as an opportunity for his company to gain access to the enterprise space in which Picturepark Cloud, onsite and hybrid systems are so well received, thanks to their support for fail-over, clustering, load-balancing, and multi-tenant architecture.

“Picturepark is the fastest growing digital asset management software name in the world today,” Leong said. “People know Picturepark brand here, but they like to have local service and support. We will provide that, so I expect to build the Picturepark brand strong throughout Asian enterprises.”

About Picturepark

Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
