Aarau, Switzerland – 16 April 2012 – Digital asset management (DAM) software maker Picturepark® announced today that David Diamond will serve as the company’s Director of Global Marketing. Having worked in the DAM industry more than 12 years, Diamond brings immediately relevant experience and ideas that will further accelerate the impressive rate at which the Swiss-made Picturepark digital asset management brand is growing worldwide.
“Diamond offers a proven hybrid of marketing knowledge and digital asset management understanding that’s truly unique,” said Picturepark CEO, Ramon Forster. “His innovative communications style, customer focus, and attention to quality offer the perfect complement to Picturepark’s next-generation approach to digital asset management software.”
Among Diamond’s initial efforts at Picturepark will be the continued development and presentation of his best-practice white papers and webinars, which have already helped thousands of DAM newcomers understand what’s most important when choosing DAM software. In early May, Picturepark will announce on its website a new best-practice webinar/white paper topic.
For Diamond, the decision to join the Picturepark team was an easy one to make.
“Anyone would be impressed by what Picturepark customers like Siemens, Hilti, Las Vegas Sands Corporation and others are doing with the software today,” said Diamond. “But the moment I saw the near-term and long-term software development roadmaps for Picturepark, I knew I wanted in. I’ve never seen a smarter, more progressive approach to DAM. It will be my pleasure to help make Picturepark the world’s most respected name in Digital Asset Management.”
Diamond has held management positions at Apple, Sony, the University of Southern California and, most recently, Canto Software. He will be based in Picturepark’s San Francisco office.
About Picturepark
Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
