Aarau, Switzerland – 04 May 2011 – Due to increased growth and demand Vision Information Transaction AG is expanding and will open a branch office in Vienna on the 1st of May. The Austrian office should, first and foremost, promote international business development for the Picturepark DAM solution.
The Austrian office will primarily be active in Europe with a focus on Austria, Germany and Europe’s Nordic countries – as well as in Asia. The management of the office was entrusted to business administration graduate Philip Axmann. “With Philip Axmann, we have gained a proven expert who has years of experience in sales, marketing and the implementation of software solutions that require explanation“, says CEO Ramon Forster. Philip Axmann was previously, for many years, employed by an Austrian manufacturer of DAM software and was responsible for coordinating all international sales there. “I am pleased to represent a leading solution, which stands for significant added value in terms of technology, functionality and the benefits for our customers – and is in such positive demand internationally”, says Philip Axmann.
For our Austrian site the excellent international connections via Vienna International Airport were also a vital factor in addition to the availability of highly qualified staff and the attractive, largely untapped, local market. VIT is moreover aiming for a reduction in currency losses through the expansion into the EU area, as the development and distribution have, up to now, taken place in the strong Swiss franc. With an EU location the monetary reserves can be sensibly reduced. The aim is also to be closer to our international customers in order to be able to show them all the advantages of the leading Picturepark DAM solution.
VIT headquarters, with development, sales and support will continue to be in Aarau, near Zürich, Switzerland.
About Picturepark
Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
