Picturepark is accessible as a standard Kentico widget. Easy options are available for linking and placing digital assets.

Non-image file formats work too. Videos, PDF and audio can be embedded into websites, and any file format can be linked for downloads. Downloads always point to the most recent version of a file, so content editors don’t ever need to update two systems–update the file in Picturepark and you’re done.

Metadata values from Picturepark are available from within Kentico, so users can see usage restrictions, directives and other important information. Picturepark Adaptive Metadata can make things even easier by providing a set of fields that’s specific to content used from within Kentico.

Picturepark users can make an asset available to Kentico by adding a single tag. A new set of metadata fields provides information that’s of interest to Kentico website editors.

Kentico Media Libraries from Picturepark Collections

Create new Kentico media libraries that contain assets from Picturepark, such as logos, banners, brochures and more. This offers Kentico users access to complete repositories that are managed and updated by Picturepark users.

Media libraries can be updated from Picturepark automatically or left alone so that changes made in Picturepark won’t affect the assets Kentico editors are already using.

Create as many new Kentico media libraries as you need, so users will always know where to go to find what they need.

On-the-fly Image Editing

Kentico users can crop and resize images they pull from Picturepark, which means users can place images that are the perfect size and composition for each Kentico page. Original files are never touched, so they remain safe in Picturepark.

Using presets or interactive tools, users can precisely crop in on the content that works for the page, without affecting the original asset.

No More Content Silos

It’s no longer necessary to create content specifically for use in Kentico. DAM Connector for Kentico enables Kentico users to access the same digital asset repositories that are in use across the organization, partner network and beyond. This helps ensure that Kentico editors have access to all the latest materials, and it saves them from having to hunt and beg others for the content they need.

This also ensures that what’s used on Kentico websites has been approved by those who need to see and approve it, and that all content used remains in compliance with policy.

No Additional Accounts Required

Your Kentico users won’t need any new accounts on Picturepark to access what they need. If a Picturepark user account is not active for the connected user, one will be provisioned on the fly. A standard permissions group is assigned to these users, so the Picturepark administrator can determine what general Kentico users can see and access.

If the Kentico user does have a Picturepark account, the permissions assigned to that account are in effect during the Kentico session. This enables you to define a set of Kentico users to act as “super users” who have additional rights, while others share a common set of permissions.
