The Trace Viewer provides information about the errors that occurre in Picturepark and other information.

 

Structure

The trace viewer is made up of the following elements:

  • Tools with which the display can be filtered
  • List of all traces
  • Precise type of trace
  • Inner Exceptions describe the problem and it’s cause more precisely

 

Each entry in the list contains the following information:

  • TraceId: Trace ID, which needs to be communicated for support enquiries
  • ActivityName: Action carried out, e.g. download or login
  • ComputerName: Name of the computer on which the action was carried out
  • TraceMessage: More detailed information about the entry
  • VITComponent: Affected Picturepark component
  • Time: Time that the action was carried out

The trace information should be copied from the different areas and used for support requests.

 

Filter view

The display can be filtered via different options:

  1. Search field, with which you can search through the fields in the list
  2. Filter for different TraceEventTypes: Information, Warning, Error and Critical. The different levels are differentiated by appropriate colors.
  3. Filter for different components
  4. Filter for different trace job types
  5. Filtering of traces for a specific date
  6. Scroll through pages. The number of pages is determined by the number of traces per page.
  7. Reset the search
