Aarau, Switzerland – 11 April 2017 – DAM Guru Program has exceeded 1,000 signups, program managers announced today, further establishing the community as the largest of its kind.
“We have enjoyed seeing this community grow in terms of numbers and diversity” said Ben Smidt, program operations manager. “The expertise offered by the DAM Guru Program membership has become so much richer now than just Digital Asset Management.”
Today, the program includes professionals from Digital Asset Management, Content Management, Library Science and related fields.
“Perhaps the best thing about the success of DAM Guru Program is that other organizations have started to borrow concepts we introduced,” said program director, David Diamond. “If this means user education is becoming more of a focus across the DAM and content management industries, that’s great news for everyone.”
Picturepark started DAM Guru Program in 2013 to help professionals in content-related fields connect with each other to share ideas and learn. Members provide webinars, offer one-on-one assistance, provide expertise to Meetups and other events, and post jobs. There is no charge for membership or any program services.

About DAM Guru Program
DAM Guru Program was created by Picturepark in 2013 to enable people in content-related fields, such as Digital Asset Management, Content Management, Information Management and the Library Sciences, to connect with one another, privately and via public forums. Membership and member services are free of charge, through subsidization by Picturepark.
Picturepark digital asset management software enables organizations to centrally store, manage and share digital assets on a modern service-oriented architecture (SOA) that is scalable, based on open standards, and available in the Cloud (SaaS), on-premise or in hybrids. Picturepark is suitable for enterprise-wide DAM deployment thanks, in part, to load-balancing, failover, service-based computer clustering, and support for true multi-tenant deployment. Adaptive Metadata technology enables each class of asset to have its own metadata schema that can evolve over time. Support for multiple taxonomies and controlled vocabularies is standard. The Picturepark Web Services API enables developers to integrate Picturepark with other systems. Embedded and branded Web portals based on HTML5/CSS can be built using the graphical Picturepark Ports tool.
