No management team in Digital Asset Management can claim more industry experience than the senior management team at Picturepark. With a combined tenure of more than 100 years working in DAM-related positions, Picturepark managers are veterans in the field.
Picturepark Chairman / Founder
Bruno Jehle – After an apprenticeship as a lithographer, Bruno Jehle started a printing company with the aim of offering affordable but high-quality printing. After the company grew into a stable operation that could be managed by its staff, Jehle started a pre-press company. Unique to both operations was Jehle’s focus on local artists, authors and publishers who had more talent and vision than financial resources.
Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Jehle become increasingly fascinated by advances and revolutions in technology, most notably the Internet. In fact, Jehle’s company was one of the first Internet service providers in Switzerland.
Additional innovations included a precursor to today’s content management systems, and a tool that made high-volume data transfers feasible over slower, phone-based Internet connections. After completing his PG as an Information Specialist, Jehle also invented a reprostation for GLAM intuitions (galleries, libraries, archives, museums). His goal for the station was that it require virtually no training to operate so that institutions could more easily digitize and archive their printed and physical works.
As the Chairman of Picturepark owner VIT, Jehle offers the Board strategic advice and innovative ideas. He continues to develop specialized services for GLAMs, and he directs the company’s India office, from where he offers high-quality digitization services. Connect with Bruno Jehle on LinkedIn.

During this time, he co-founded and directed programming for Swiss regional radio broadcaster “Kanal K”, as well as founding other organizations and ventures. He later moved into the field of Information Technology where he has remained since.
Forster joined Picturepark in 2005 as the company’s head of marketing and sales. He was appointed CEO in early 2011, is a member of the supervisory board and shareholder. He lives with his wife and six kids in the Swiss countryside, where he enjoys early morning runs and the surrounding nature.

David Diamond (Director of Global Marketing) – Entering the DAM industry as a technical marketing writer for Canto Software in 1998 (and eventually directing global marketing for the company), Diamond has grown into one of the DAM industry’s most visible and influential figures. He authored DAM Survival Guide in early 2012 and Metadata for Content Management in 2016. He’s a regular contributor to CMSWire, Digital Asset Management News and other sites, including the Picturepark DAM Innovation Blog. He was awarded the first ever “Top DAM Influencer” title in 2013 by ConceptShare. Diamond also received the 2013 “DAMMY of the Year,” the industry’s highest honor.
Diamond has held senior management positions at Apple, Sony and the University of Southern California. He was a founding member of the 1980s rock band, Berlin.
Philip Axmann (Director of Global Business Development) – Philip Axmann’s interest in technology started as a the son of director in the Ministry of Science, whose profession ensured the Axmann family had ready access to the latest technologies and, of course, an Internet connection.
It was through home Internet access that Axmann developed a fascination with the rest of the world. While attending Austria’s University of Applied Management Sciences, he was accepted to international study programs twice—once in New York City and the other in Auckland, New Zealand. These experiences enabled him to hone his English skills while intensifying his interest in other cultures.
After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Corporate Governance and e-Business Management—a mix of Business and Marketing that also covers IT and computer programming—Axmann took a job with Bank Austria, but his technology-enriched upbringing wasn’t fulfilled. In 2007, he accepted a position with Celum where he headed the company’s international sales efforts. He eventually became Head of Business Development enterprise software integrator, Netconomy.
Urs Brogle (Director of Engineering) – Urs Brogle started programming computers at age 12. After his family’s first Internet connection was installed a few years later, he took note of what made websites work, and he’s been improving those technologies ever since.
One of Brogle’s first development projects was the design and coding of a content management system (CMS). The program enabled those without coding expertise to create content for websites, long before systems like WordPress or Blogger.
In school, he studied to become a polygrapher, which is a hybrid of lithographer and typographer. Brogle first came to Picturepark via the company’s apprentice program. His background in developing content-focused applications, along with his experience with digital media and websites, made him a perfect fit to work on a new system for the management of digital assets.
That system became Picturepark.
In his free time, Brogle rides motorcycles, takes photographs of his beautiful homeland, Switzerland, and tries to resist the lure of bad movies. He cites the systems customers build on Picturepark as his prime inspiration for pushing the company’s technologies forward.
Brogle joined Picturepark in 2000. In early 2016, Brogle was appointed interim Director of Engineering. Connect with him on LinkedIn.
Mario Rüeger (Director of Services) – Before joining Picturepark in 2014, Mario Rüeger held project management positions at JURA Elektroapparate AG and PostFinance AG. Within a year of his arrival at Picturepark, he was designing and managing some of Picturepark’s most comprehensive and valuable installations, while consulting customers on ways to do more with their Picturepark systems. Today, Rüeger directs the company’s services, consulting and support divisions.
Mario Rüeger holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Berne. Connect with him on LinkedIn.
Nick Berthet (Director of IT Operations) – Nick Berthet has worked in the field of IT since 2003. Computer science became his focus when he first discovered as a teenager the potential of getting machines to “talk” to one another. He has since served in several IT capacities, including volunteering in his free time to provide IT services for a youth organization in Switzerland.
Berthet joined Picturepark in 2012 and took the reigns of the company’s IT operations shortly thereafter. His team manages the company’s internal computing services, labs and testing structure, in addition to its global Picturepark Cloud operations.
Berthet holds a Masters in Business Information Systems from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Northwestern Switzerland. Connect with him on LinkedIn.
